A stone's throw away from the Inn you will find Huascaran National Park - a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site officially established in 1975. Huascaran National Park includes 340,000 hectares (840,159 acres) mostly in the Cordillera Blanca, the highest tropical mountain range in the world, unlimited lakes, trails and valleys to explore.
Huascaran National Park includes the whole area of the Cordillera Blanca with many day hikes and long treks at your availability. The park has incredible variety of flora and fauna including the park's spectacular Puya raimondii, the largest species of bromeliad and native to Bolivia and Peru (only found in the high Andes at 3,000 - 4,800 meters (9,842 - 13,123 feet)). The park is one of the areas with the greatest biological and cultural diversity in Peru, with close to 660 glariers and 300 lagoons formed by glaciers.
